Jennifer and I picked up the Honor Liberty hitchhiker last weekend in the
Allentown Rose Garden, and dropped it off today at the Yummmmy letterbox in
Wilmington, DE. It seems appropriate that Honor Liberty should finally pay
a visit to the "First State," as Delaware was the first colony to ratify
the U.S. Constitution.
I hope someone can pick her up and give her a ride soon!

I thought telling where you left a HH was a no no but now I wonder.
Silent Doug has all the "rules" on his site for people to learn from
and this message from just stated where he left it. I guess this is
just one of those times where some people do it one way some do it
another????

Jayme,
I think it is more a case of some HH have different "rules" Some have very
specific goals intended and the placers have asked that the locations be
announced in order to move them along. I am not overly familiar with Honor
Liberty, but am thinking she is one that is trying to accomplish something
specific (a visit to all 50 states comes to mind, but I may be making that
up).

Honor Liberty is a different type of HH. Gwen & I set her loose
(originally)on 9/11/2002, and posted her starting spot at Pt.
Vicenti Lighthouse , Ca. The instructions included in the box asked
that her PRESENT location be posted on the chat list so that she
would get ample traveling and allow as many stamp ins and comments
as possible. I asked that she be sent back to us prior to 9/11/2003.
After receiving her back we posted on the chat list the many
comments, and the listing of letterboxers that had made them. If you
would like to read the list and comments for the first period see
archives post #34174, dated 10/03/2003. At times she gets bogged
down as some letterboxers are reluctant to post her location, since
it is against the normal procedures for a HH. Time is short as we
approach the end of her second year. We would like to have her sent
back to us prior to 9/11/2004 so that we might do a similar posting.
Please find her, stampin, write your comments, and put out again
with her location posted on the list. Keep her going, and help Honor
Liberty!

The creators of Honor Liberty (Don and Gwen) specifically instruct finders
to post the location of it on the list, so it's not a case of me choosing
to disregard the traditions regarding hitchhikers, but about the creators
having a different purpose for this particular hitchhiker.

Oh, that makes sense. I'm glad I asked. I've seen a few posts in
the past that gave the location and I figured it was done by someone
not understanding the rules. It wasn't until Silent Doug (Explainer
of the Rules) did it that I questioned it.
